About me
I am a dental surgeon graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Guadalajara (1980-1984), with a postgraduate degree in Occlusion, Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction, and Prosthetics (1986). I have studied English and have two diplomas in teaching competencies and human development.
My professional experience spans from 1983 in dental laboratory, university prosthodontics clinic, and private practice, where I have provided general, aesthetic, reconstructive, and prosthetic dentistry. I worked in specialized dental laboratories and provided care to employees of companies such as IBM, Nike, Mexicana de Aviación, and Dow Agrosciences.
As a teacher, I taught classes at the Universidad Guadalajara Lamar (2001-2007) in metallurgy, complete and removable partial prosthetics, and since 2009 I have been a full professor of Total Prosthodontics at the University of Specialties (UNE). I have also been a professor of Dental Operative and Periodontology.
I have extensive continuing education through congresses, seminars, and courses covering occlusion, the TMJ, implantology, cosmetic dentistry, and dental materials. I have lectured on diagnostic wax-ups, indirect restorations, teeth whitening, and cosmetic dentistry.
I am a member of national and international dental associations and a founding member of the Mexican Academy of Prosthetic Dentistry; I am also a runner and have completed two marathons.
